In recent years, CNC machining centers have been continuously innovated, updated and iterated, and three-axis, four-axis, five-axis machining centers, turning and milling composite CNC machining centers, etc. have been derived. Today, I will tell you about the characteristics of three different machining centers: three-axis, four-axis, and five-axis CNC machining centers.
Three-axis CNC machining: usually refers to three axes with variable speed linear motion in different directions, such as left and right, up and down, front and back. The three axes can only process one surface at a time, which is more suitable for processing some disc parts.
Four-axis CNC machining: put another rotating axis on the three axes, usually the reference surface rotates 360 degrees. But it cannot run at high speed. It is more suitable for processing some box shell parts.
Five-axis machining center CNC machining: add one more rotating axis in the four axes, usually the vertical surface rotates 360°. The five-axis machining center has achieved all-round processing, so that one clamping can reduce the clamping cost and reduce the damage caused by scratches on the product. It is more suitable for processing multi-station pores and planes, parts with high processing accuracy requirements, especially parts with strict appearance processing accuracy requirements.
Although the five-axis machining center has a more prominent competitive advantage than the four-axis and three-axis machining centers, in fact, not all products are suitable for five-axis machining centers, and products suitable for three-axis machining may not be suitable for five-axis machining centers. If the products that can be processed by three axes are processed by five-axis machining centers, not only will the production cost increase, but the actual effect may not be good.
